The Honourable Tara Rivers, JP, MLA was given ministerial responsibilities for financial services and home affairs following her re-election to the Cayman Islands Legislative Assembly in May 2017

 

 

 

Dr Chris Brauer, Director of Innovation, Institute of Management Studies, Goldsmiths, University of London
Dr Chris Brauer is a public academic and Director of Innovation in the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) at Goldsmiths, University of London. Dr Chris is a world-renowned researcher specialising in highimpact studies at the intersections of human behaviour, emerging technologies, and socioeconomic change. His research has featured in over 400 media outlets worldwide including the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, BBC Newsnight, BBC Click, CNN, CNBC, China Central TV, Forbes, USA Today, Globo, NPR, and the Sunday Times.

 

Alee Fa’amoe,Deputy CEO, OfReg
Alee Fa’amoe is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for ICT at OfReg, the Utility Regulation and Competition Office of the Cayman Islands. Alee has a broad background in technology, operations, and management and has spent 20 years in the telecommunications industry, working as an industry expert on telephone numbering and network operations.

 

 

Adam Lambert, Managing Director, ZIMTRA
Adam is an internationally established entrepreneur. He discovered a passion for business at age eleven, when a nationally recognized company awarded him Top Direct Salesman for two consecutive years. He furthered his vocation within management roles and as part of several start-ups before setting his sights on the financial industry.

 

Inma Martinez, Digital Pioneer and AI Scientist 
After a career at Goldman Sachs, Inma joined telecom giant Cable & Wireless to become the Global Head of IP services in the late 1990s, just when digitalisation and the Internet were emerging. Shifting to entrepreneurship in 2000, she has been directly behind the development of mobile Internet services, A.I. personalisation and
prediction of consumer behaviours, video and music streaming, intelligent wearables, the connected car and smart living.

Considered a proven and industry-recognised technology pioneer, very early in her career she was described by Fortune and TIME as one of Europe’s top talents in social engagement through technology, while
FastCompany labelled her a “firestarter” at their event Fast Talk Forum (11/2000).

 

Ryan Watson, Director of IT & Infrastructure, Brave Software Intl. SEZC
Ryan Watson is the Director of IT & Infrastructure at Brave Software Intl. SEZC, global software team who created a privacy-based, open-source web browser and a digital advertising platform that rewards users. A highly motivated self-taught IT professional, Ryan and his team at Brave ensure smooth operations and help to provide users with technical guidance and support.

 

 

Jason Butcher, Founder and CEO, Coinpayments
Being a life long Entrepreneur Jason has been in the digital space since 1992 when launching a platform in Canada called WSN the world shopping network, and later developing one of the first multi channel digital TV broadcast platforms.

Today Jason is actively involved in a number of global FINTECH, Payments and Technology projects and leads the global operations as CEO of Coinpayments.net which is the worlds largest crypto currency payment gateway platform. Paul Byles, Director, FTS
Mr. Paul Byles is Director of FTS, which provides regulatory and management consulting services. He is an experienced economist and finance professional having worked in the financial services industry for 25 years. He is a former head of regulatory and economic consulting services of a big four consulting firm. He is a former Head of Policy at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority where he drafted the original Guidance Notes on Prevention and detection of Money laundering for the Cayman Islands and many formal regulatory policies and guidelines issued by CIMA for the financial services industry.

He is author of the book ‘Inside Offshore’ which focuses on the reputation of the Cayman Islands as a financial services jurisdiction and author of ‘Offshore Financial Services: a BVI text’, published in 2014. He serves as an independent director on a number of financial services and local operating firms. He holds a Masters Degree in economic development from the London School of Economics, and a Master Degree in Economics from Birkbeck College in the UK.
